Disney Land / MPACE Conference 2015 - Day 1 (The Long Drive to California)

The Mountain Pacific Association of Colleges and Employers (MPACE) Annual Conference this year is at the Disney Land Hotel in Anaheim, California.  All year, we have been saving our money.  The kids have been receiving a dime each time they are caught obeying "straight way".  They each have a jar full of dimes that they have been saving for the trip.  We packed the van, dropped off the dog at the Gunyan's, and left town at 8:00 this morning.  It was a long drive.  We stopped three times for Bryce who seems to have the flu.  But the kids were troopers and did very well.

We made it all the way to St. George before taking our first stop.  Originally we planned to just hike through the "St. George Narrows" at Pioneer Park, but we discovered this amazing new desert garden and enjoyed spending a little extra time exploring that as well.

Jill and the boys opted to walk from the desert gardens to the narrows. She's a great mom!

James wasn't too sure about this, but once he got going he really enjoyed the adventure.

Our next break was close to the state line (Nevada, California). Camryn is a great sister to these boys.

We played a little soccer while Emma had some dinner.

We also fed some birds in the parking lot.

Finally, we made it to the Disney Land Hotel!  The kids were so excited, it took them a while to settle down and fall asleep.
