Houston - NOV visit

National Oil Well Varco invited me to visit their facilites in Houston.  They were generous to pay all of my expenses.  BYU is one of 7 target schools that NOV recruits from.  NOV is a global company with over 60,000 employees.  I was impressed when Pet Miller, the CEO greeted us on Tuesday.  Then Clay Williams, CEO & President, spent an hour with us - he gave us a fantastic history lesson of the evolution fo the oil industry. (We were with the "Next Generation" recruits on their first day.)

On Wednesday, we went to the Galena Park Facility where they build and test oil rigs.  Then we went to an Astros game before flying home to run the Ragnar Relay.

We had a great tour of the rigs being built and tested at the Galena Park facility.  This is our group for representatives from 7 universities.  BYU is their only target university West of the Mississippi.
